Outcome

The 3rd International Workshop on Cement & Concrete Technology for Sustainable Development from 6th May to 12th May, 2009 in 3 cities in China with one day each in Beijing, Xi'an and Mianyang was organized by CBMA, former CANMET/ACI committee and CCS and sponsored by UNIDO-ICM, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, and Southwest University of Science and Technology and Cement Branch of the Chinese Ceramic Society.

7 international experts from Canada, Japan, Norway, USA and 10 Chinese experts presented lectures and reports on latest progress of cement & concrete technology for sustainable development, and more than 500 participants from cement and concrete industry attended this workshop.

Most of the participants spoke highly of the achievements of the workshop. The workshop contributed to the sustainability development of cement and concrete industry, and had positive impact on post-disaster reconstruction in Sichuan province.
