'7th APP Cement Task Force Meeting' was held in Seuol, Korea during 12-15 July

 

The ^7th APP Cement Task Force Meeting ̄ was held from 12th-15th, July in Seoul, Korea. Participants from seven APP member countries- Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, Korea and U.S. and international organizations, such as IEA, ECRA, CEMBUREAU, Brazil Cement Association attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Cement Task Force from each APP member country gave status report on respective projects. The representative of China APP Cement Task Force, Prof. Sui tongbo, Vice-President of CBMA, introduced the general development situation of China cement industry and progress on energy saving and emission reduction. Meanwhile, he also gave a status report on activities of CoE Project undertaken by China and Australia. Peers from other member countries spoke highly of the various activities of the ongoing project. It contributed a lot to the development of cement industry in China. Suggestions for future work also made from Japan and India.

Two new projects were proposed by Canada Cement Task Force, which planed to cooperate with China. Besides, India Cement Task Force expressed their great interest on future cooperation with China on cement equipment and waste heat co-generation technology.

On the last day of 15th, the organizers arranged a site visit to Danyang cement plant of Hanil Group.

The next 8th APP Cement Task Force Meeting will be held in Vancouver, Canada in March 2010.
